Frontline COMBO CHIEN est un médicament contenant du fipronil et du S-méthoprene sous forme de pipettes. Il permet de lutter contre les puces, tiques et poux broyeurs ainsi que prévenir l'infestation de l'habitat. Il a été montré que 5% du cycle de vie d'une puce se fait sur l'animal et 95% se fait dans l'habitat sous forme d'oeufs, larves et cocons. Les cocons ont une durée de vie de plusieurs mois dans l'habitat sous forme endormie avant de coloniser un hôte (animal ou humain). Le S-méthoprene contenu dans Frontline COMBO régule la croissance des insectes. Il réduit la ponte des puces, évite l'éclosion des larves et empeche la formation de cocons. Il évite ainsi la contamination des lieux de vie par les oeufs et larves de puces déposés par l'animal. Chez le chien, la durée d'action contre les puces est de 8 semaines et contre les tiques de 4 semaines. Il est utilisable chez le chien des 1kg et 8 semaines d'âge. Existe aussi en format 6 pipettes
